Rental Contract Form Previous Tenants Left Behind Stuff In Rental Home. How Long Do I Have To Keep It Before I Can Throw It Out?

Previous tenants left behind stuff in rental home. How long do I have to keep it before I can throw it out? - rental contract form

I rented a house and the previous tenants left several boxes of legal documents (business contracts, tax forms, etc..) The dealer called and who will gather in August of this material, but it never arrived. It's been four months since I I threw these things, or am I required by law? I do not have your phone number, but I have mine.

The law says you must give them a "reasonable time". 4 months is more than reasonable.

Have chosen, in fact, the owner or property manager this area before contact with the tenant.

30 days was sufficient, 60 were generous. Four months? And they have not contacted? Trash it.

You could crush genuine and generous, or burn the material with personal information, that cause could be identity theft, but that also was reasonable. What did the dealer? He / she can always come and there for them.

You have not received the property. The owner of rental property is the only one who has an obligation to the previous tenant.

Contact the dealer and said that if the goods are not collected at any given time, either by the previous owner or tenant, you may have, as you see fit.

I think you can get rid of garbage. Well of course not.
